Fallout 4: How To Max SPECIAL At Level 1

This is more useful if you are a console player as on PC you can just use console to max SPECIAL (and it does count for achievements, weirdly enough).

I tried this just to see that it works, on PC, but then I restarted my game as it felt just too cheesy.

Here is how its done:

Everything is in timing.

You get out of vault, go to Red Rocket, grab Dogmeat, and go back to your house. This can all be done while still level 1.

You pick up "You're Special" book, which is in Shawn's old room. It will let you pick +1 to any SPECIAL stat which is not at 10. Bobbleheads taken when your stat is at 10 let you hit 11, this book does not.

Then go someplace clean where  you can see exactly what you are doing.

Drop the book, and order Dogmeat to get it. Right before he picks it up, you need to grab it. In order to tell Dogmeat to get it, you need to be just a step further from it than where it will pick it up.

To do this right will take some practice. When you've done it correctly, you will pick up the book, but Dogmeat will drop another copy at your feet. That other copy, or one you picked up, will be new. You might have to drop them all to click on right one.
