Problem 1: Stuck on poem/Game not launching.
ArcheAge has a gameguard program that's constantly checking for possible cheating software etc. The gameguard however very oftenly bumps into software it doesn't like such as antivirus programs and voip programs. Doing the steps below should keep it from bumping into your anti virus and should allow you to launch your game.
1: open windows defender (or any other anti virus/fire wall program that you have)
2: click on settings -> Excluded files and locations
3: Type in the file location where you have installed glyph and archeage. (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Glyph ) and click on add then on save changes. Do the same for the (usually) C:\Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\ArcheAge location and click on save changes.
4: Try starting the game
Windows security essentials : If you have Windows security essentials and the above does not work, try disabling Real-Time Protection in Microsoft Security Essentials completely. Then restart glyph and try launching the game again.
Doesn't work? (no matter what antivirus you have) Try this:
1: Go to Documents/Archeage/user/udf and delete it's content.
2: Try launching the game again!
If your UDF folder is up in the gigabytes, consider switching to Direct X 9 after deleting the content
If it still doesn't work try the following:
1: Hold the Windows key and press the letter 'R' to open the Run window.
2: In the Run window that appears, type 'msconfig' (without the quotes) and click 'OK.'.
3: In the System Configuration window, click on the 'Startup' tab.
4: Click the 'Disable all' button.
5: Click on the 'Services' tab.
6: Click on the checkbox next to 'Hide all Microsoft services', which will remove all of the Microsoft services from the Services list.
Click on the 'Disable all' button and click 'OK.'
7: You will be prompted to restart the computer, which you should do before proceeding.
8: After your restart do not start anything (Specially no voip programs/steam/overlay programs). Make sure your antivirus/firewall is off and try launching the game.
If this doesn't work check the following:
1: Close out ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Navigate to your hackshield folder under \Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\ArcheAge\Alpha\bin32\HShield\
3: Delete the folder named asc
4: Restart your PC
5: Once your PC restarts navigate to \Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\ArcheAge\Alpha\bin32\HShield
Right-click on the hsupdate file and select Run as Administrator
6: After it is finished updating, launch Glyph and ArcheAge
If that doesn't work try:
1: Close ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Go to C:Archeage
3: Open WORKING folder
4: Open HISTORY file in notepad
5: Change version to 205410
6: Save the file
7: Close it
8: Open Glyph and repatch the update.
If that doesn't work..
1: Close ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Go to your archeage folder ( most likely C drive/Program files/glyph/games/Archeage/Live )
3: Cut your bin32 folder and paste it somewhere else as a backup

5: Unpack the file inside the Live folder (where your bin32 folder was before)
6: Start Glyph
7: Start the game

Problem 2: Failed to load game data!
1: Make sure you are running glyph as administrator.
2: Make sure your graphic card drivers are up to date.
If that doesn't work advance to the following (check this if the problem started after last patch):
1: Close ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Go to C:Archeage
3: Open WORKING folder
4: Open HISTORY file in notepad
5: Change version to 205410
6: Save the file
7: Close it
8: Open Glyph and repatch the update.

Problem 3: error loading DLL: CryNetwork.dll, error code 998:
1: Close ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Go to your archeage folder ( most likely C drive/Program files/glyph/games/Archeage/Live )
3: Cut your bin32 folder and paste it somewhere else as a backup

5: Unpack the file inside the Live folder (where your bin32 folder was before)
6: Start Glyph
7: Start the game
.Problem 4: Error loading dll CryRenderD3D9.dll, error code 193
1: Firstly make sure you have direct X installed.
2: If you have direct X 11 installed and you get the above error do this:
3: create a config file, simply right click on an empty spot in the Cdrive>Archeage>"Documents" folder, create a TXT file. Open up the text file and type in these commands in your new TXT document.

4: After that, go to file and click "save as", and drop down the "Save as type", and select "All Files".
5: Rename the text document to "system.cfg".
6: Start the game.
If this doesn't work check the following:
1: Close out ArcheAge and Glyph
2: Navigate to your hackshield folder under \Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\ArcheAge\Alpha\bin32\HShield\
3: Delete the folder named asc
4: Restart your PC
5: Once your PC restarts navigate to \Program Files (x86)\Glyph\Games\ArcheAge\Alpha\bin32\HShield

6: After it is finished updating, launch Glyph and ArcheAge
Problem 5: Glitchy graphics (Only seeing the head of your character perhaps?)
First possible solution:
1: Go to your graphic card manufacturer's website and search for the newest drivers for your graphic card.
2: Install them and restart your computer.
3: Launch ArcheAge again and see if the issue is resolved.
If the above did not help move on to the next steps:
4: Go to Documents/Archeage/User/Shaders
5: Delete the cache folder
6: Start ArcheAge and see if the issue is resolved.
Problem 6: My game crashes/freezes/turns black when I tab out.
Step 1: Go to http://www.reddit.com/r/archeage/com...less_archeage/
2: Follow the guidelines in on the redit post.
3: After completing the full steps you should now be playing in borderless window mode and your game should no longer crash/freeze/turn black when tabbing out.
Disclaimer: I did not create this dll injection. You are allowed to use it (confirmed by community manager) but I will say use at your own risk. I personally have not tested the borderless window fix.
Problem 7: I can't see custom images on capes/ships etc.
1:Go to your documents folder > ArcheAge > USER > UCC > down
2:Cut all files and paste there somewhere safe as a backup (must be done when the game is not running)
3:Restart game
Problem 8: My hotkeys/graphic options/etc will not save.
1: Run glyph as an administrator.
2: Log into the game edit your hotkeys/sound/ and graphics and exit the game manually the way it's supposed to be closed (not through alt f4, task manager , a disconnect or a crash) then start the game again and see if it saved your hotkeys/settings.
If that does not work:
1: Change your client to windowed mode
2: Set up your hotkeys and graphic options.
3: Click on Apply.
4: Exit the game
5: Start the game again
6: See if changes have applied, if so -> change back to full screen if desired.
If the above did not work follow these steps:
1: Close ArcheAge and Glyph.
2: Go to the \Documents\ArcheAge folder and right-click on it. Use the Rename option and call that ArcheAge folder ArcheAgeOLD. By changing the name, you'll be resetting in game settings to default, but once you are in the game you should be able to view custom crests and edit your graphic preferences.
3: Launch the game.
If that does not work:
4: Check for a graphics driver update, then delete your shader cache folder. The cache is located at \Documents\ArcheAge\USER\shaders\cache.
