Best MMO's To Play In 2015

This list is specifically MMO's being released in second half of 2015, not MMO's that are already out.

camelot unchained

Camelot Unchained

One of the most anticipated MMO games of 2015, Camelot Unchained is an upcoming realm-vs-realm (RvR) old school MMORPG by City State Entertainment. Their Kickstarter raised over $2.2 million with an estimated delivery date of 2015 for the beta testing phase.

What’s awesome about this game is two words: old school. The developers have promised a “chaotic game with epic surprises at every turn.” The game is being built around three main elements: RvR, crafting and housing.

It will be a purely subscription-based MMORPG. And therefore most folks will not waste time trying it at all. Subscription games are dying. Freemium is where its at. Wildstar is going free to play in few months. Why? Because people are not stupid enough to pay to play a game with dead servers. I am ok with paying some money, but only if there are players to kill, and most people in 2015 only look for free to play.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade

Official website: http://www.eternalcrusade.com/

Due to be released late 2015, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade by Behavior Interactive will be playable on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This is an open world action shooter type of MMO with a 3rd person (over the shoulder) view. It will feature four races: Orks, Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, and Eldar. Looks like this will be quite fun for people who enjoy PvP-focused games.

It seems that this will be a “freemium” (a combination of both premium and free) type of game. Players who buy the box or digital download will get full access to the entire game. Those who want to try it out first will be able to play a limited free account.

This is second attempt at W40K MMO. First one died before it got released. Considering how clueless people releasing Games Workshop video games have been, and how lame games themselves have been (ripoff of 90's Panzer General yet released in 2014, ripoff of Chess thats just nonsense, and ripoff of some lame simplistic flash game)  this could suck worse than SWTOR. Well see.

Star Citizen

Official website: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/

A very promising space simulation game that features both single player gameplay and a persistent universe, Star Citizen by Roberts Space Industries is an unusual space trading/combat MMO. The MMO part of Star Citizen will have no classes, a player-run dynamic economy, customizable ships, realistic physics, and exciting PvP (ship vs ship and ground combat) battles.

Star Citizen will have a “rolling launch” in which modules will be released on after the other. According to their official release schedule, modules will be released from 2014 onwards and on that page it’s said that the developers are aiming to “launch the Persistent Universe sometime in 2015.” It is important to note that the official Star Citizen launch date is 2016.

Problem with Star Citizen is that its not even out yet investors are already being nickel and dimed. Unless you are insane I would suggest holding off on giving them any money until game is widely available and played and reviewed by decent Let's Players. Spending hundreds of dollars on what amounts to a tech demo is just nuts.
